Welcome to our HaliPad Picks, where we select some of our favourite new listings in Halifax each week.  The past even days were a slow burn but there were some fantastic new listings that popped up in the last 24 hours.  This week, we've selected four of our favourite homes.  You'll be able to learn more about each listing by clicking on the address or scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Note: If a listing we mention can no longer be seen at the links below, it means it has sold.  All selections are made in our professional opinion and should not be construed as fact.

2446 John Street (sold)

Fantastic location near the Halifax Commons and steps to several restaurants and coffee shops on the ever changing Agricola Street.  This duplex offers two units with two bedrooms each. With a little bit of lipstick and imagination, the location would make this a superb AirBnb revenue property.

Pros:  Airbnb potential, location.
Cons: No off street parking, needs some love.

834 Bridges Street (sold)

An extremely affordable option in an area often associated with high South End property values.  Literally a two minute walk to St Mary’s and Halifax Grammar school, this home has seen a bathroom upgrade and remains in good condition. This home will fly off the market before the weekend is over.

Pros:  Close to schools, affordable for the area.
Cons: Only one bathroom.

1504-1465 Brenton Street (sold)

This one is priced on the high side for a one bedroom condo.  However, it used to be a two bedroom meaning you get a unique layout with lots of additional space.  The interior design speaks for itself and is bursting with contemporary, artistic touches.  Not everyone’s cup of tea, but very impressive nonetheless.

Pros: Fantastic design, unique layout.
Cons:  The higher end of the price bracket for a one bedroom condo.

6274 Summit Street (sold)

This is another great two unit home that bursts with character.  A unique layout allows for several different flex spaces throughout the home while offering a bright and airy feel.  The suite is almost as nice as the main living unit and would greatly offset the cost of a mortgage.  The location one kilometer northwest of the commons and close proximity to grocery stores make this another great AirBnB property.

Pros:  Revenue potential, bright and airy, lots of bathrooms.
Cons: The layout might not please everyone.
